Bot Will Be Down Or Unstable For Foreseeable Future
I hate to write this but I've officially hit hardware capacity for the bot. Mainly storage but also RAM.
The drive array that runs the database and the search indexes is maxed out. As a result the database keeps going down and I no longer have space to build the indexes the bot needs to do it's searches.
When I have some time I'm going to purge the oldest year (2018) from the database to free up a little space to buy some time.
Ultimately I need to replace all the 500gb SSDs in the main RAID 10 array with 1tb drives. 6 in total. The cost is not something I can swing at the moment.
I apologize to all the communities that have come to rely on the bot. I'll do my best to patch together a solution to keep it somewhat functional.
If anyone has the means and wants to contribute, you're more than welcome to donate here.

Patreon Now Available
Hey All,
I've had a lot of people suggest starting a Patreon to help support the bot. I've decided to open one up for anybody that is interested in contributing.
https://www.patreon.com/repostsleuthbot
I'll treat Patreon funds the same as I have donations, they will be set aside until enough has been gathered to start making upgrades. At the moment I've collected $131 in donations.
Right now the 2 upgrades I'm targeting are RAM and SSDs. The RAM upgrade will cost $720, the SSD upgrade will cost $690 for 1tb drives. This will be enough to smooth out performance.
If anyone would like to donate hardware I'm also open to that. For the RAM I need 32gb DIMMS of 4RX4 PC3-14900. For the SSDs 1 or 2tb 2.5".

General Bug Bot seems to be really slow and doesn't work as intended
We set the bot in our sub to check new posts automatically, yet the bot always takes about one day or more to inform us about a "new post" he checked. Does anyone else have that problem and does anybody know how to solve it?
Also even though we set the settings so that the bot ignores deleted posts and posts from the same author, he continues reporting those.

Question Does RepostSleuthBot work on r/memes?
Every time I use it there, it immediately locks the comment, making the bot unable to do its work. Is it banned, or is it some kind of prevention measure?

False Negative Bot didn't recognize very obvious repost
Called repost bot on a very obvious karma whoring repost:
it reported a false negative.
Just a quick search yielded a repost at least once each year:

Why does the bot not see these ?

Question Set sub rules for the bot
I’m the owner of a subreddit and I want to have the bot check for reposts from all time in my sub and auto flag them for mod review if possible. Is there a way I can do this?

General Bug True false negative?
Hello! I just had a message by repostsleuthbot saying a post wasn’t a repost, despite 96.09% similarity and a target at 92%.
Am I understanding the numbers wrong or is there a bug behind this?

Feature Request Ignore Crossposts
As you can see in this comment under a crosspost, the bot says the image is reposted, but it links the original post which was crossposted. I think it would be better if the bot ignored the original post.

False Positive Yo my post on r/nhl got flagged and for what
I wish these bots looked at what the op had visited, and the title.

Feature Request Old reposts?
I feel like the bot would be less obtrusive if it was fine tuned for age a bit. Like, the bot just flagged an Onion article image that had been last reposted in 2018. Perhaps either consider having a default time range of like a year, or maybe a different template for things that haven't been reposted in a very long time?
Just my feedback, take it as you will.
Btw, happy cake day!
