Having grown up with Halo, it’s nice to be excited for a game again like I used to be way back in the day

Best game of oddball I killed an entire enemy team to keep it for a win. Treated it like gollum would the one ring and won. Don't understand the oddball hate either. Only mode I dislike is btb territories. Get bad teammates who are more focused on challenges. You lose pretty quickly in that mode.

Oddball hate comes from same complaint CTF and territory gets.

You have people who are playing the objective…and then you have people playing slayer.

Deathmatches are usually the most popular game mode anywhere, given the choice.

I remember playing Assassin’s Creed Revelations, and playing a single game of capture-the-flag. It was awesome - loved how your hints stopped working if you were fox-guarding, my heart always skipped a beat whenever I ran right into a player who was being sneaky, and I got a fantastic kill right before a turn in. Great game, and I was itching for more.

…and never played it again, because nobody ever voted for it. Tried asking, but everyone prefers standard.

Not gonna lie, it's the most fun I've had with Halo since 2....

Oddball gets so fucking intense when both sides are actually playing. Had some close ass games. One the other day we literally won by one point.

I'll never understand the hate oddball gets from bigger streamers and industry-adjacent folk.

It's basically multiplayer Pig Slaughter and it's glorious

It does? Thats weird. Its fun as hell.

Being the ball carrier trying to frantically escape because you only need 20 seconds to win while your team tries to slow the other team down is a nail biting experience lol

But....but that's the basic definition of winning!

LITERALLY ONE POINT?!??!!?

(Found the adorably overconfident American kid, ya'll. Get him! Literally.)

Yes it was literally one point. 100 - 99.

What the actual fuck is your comment even supposed to mean.

I’ve been having a blast with it, can’t wait to dive into the campaign

I'm actually thinking about ditching work early to play it

Super excited for this game. The multi-player has been great other than the slow grind battlepass customizations. I don't have much time till the weekend but then it's on.

So very wholesome of a meme i say

I'm already too tired to play it today. Already installed the campaign download and I have an hour of work left and now I just want to sleep. Fuck.

Other side of the community: Halo the White cosmetic costs $3, worst halo ever.

Seems like nobody hates Halo these days more than the Halo fandom

u/IforgotwhatIwasdoing Dec 08 '21

Masterchief the White!?!

Do you even Halo bro?

3

u/Aliveleopard9 Dec 08 '21

Can't wait for it to come out in 3 hours

1

u/ReadTheFManual Dec 08 '21

To be fair it actually released 2 hours ago so it was 1 hour when you said that. 18:00 UTC ie the literal dumbest timezone you could possibly use for a game release, forcing people to add a second clock to their systems set to UTC.

It's nice to see some positivity. I've honestly loved playing the multiplayer and as an adult with my own finances I can choose to pay for cosmetics if I care to or not. I'd rather get some aspects of the game now and for them to do a slow roll out. Since I'm not actually paying to own the game. It's so fun

Multiplayer has been out for two weeks already.

Nobody gives a shit about the campaigns lmao. That's why this one is essentially being treated as a micro transaction for Infinite multiplayer.

Campaign is actually the main draw for far more people than you would think, you have no idea what you are talking about.
