Brush off the top of the car, too. It can melt and refreeze and a giant sheet of ice flying at you at highway speeds isn’t ideal.

If you drive in winter conditions, find a big open parking lot to practice controlled slides in when it's icy. Eventually you will slide and having a little practice controlled breaking and counter steering can make a huge difference.

That, and:

Look where you want the car to go. Don't look a what you don't want to hit!

Also, 4wd/AWD are different things. Neither of which are particularly safe in snow with summer tires. False sense of security

That happened to my sister a couple years ago, the ice chunk cracked her side view mirror drivers side. But they didn't catch the guys license so he got away with it.. pisses me off the see people driving around with a bunch of snow or ice on their vehicle as it's a road hazard

I honestly judge other drivers for not cleaning their car. I mean think about it. If they can't be bothered to clean all the windows, which is their ability to see out the car, how attentive are they really when they drive?

Cleaning the rear window off does nothing imho. They weren't looking out of it before, I doubt they are now.
