delete that reply because more stupids are finding out they are not alone

50

u/slothpeguin Dec 08 '21

He blames Steve.

26

u/BlooPancakes Dec 08 '21

We don’t trade lives is stupid. Especially since he would have traded his life if he was the key. Thanos won because major steps people did something stupid. Starlord when they had him on Titan and Steve when they didn’t blow up Vision.

26

u/slothpeguin Dec 08 '21

I will never forgive Starlord. His dumbass killed Tony, just because he couldn’t control his emotions for five minutes.

13

u/LonelySwine Dec 08 '21

Well tbf doctor strange did see shit tons of timelines and even in the timeline starlord didnt do that, they still lost.

-6

u/slothpeguin Dec 08 '21

I don’t trust Strange, he’s an arrogant shit. How do I know there weren’t more timelines? Or by viewing them he changed the outcome of them all? Sus.

8

u/LonelySwine Dec 08 '21

How do you know there were more timelines? Plus why would he want stark dead? And considering he saw like a million timelines, he possibly went the one that had less casualties i.e the timeline stark died. If there existed a timeline in which no one would have to be sacrificed, he would choose that. He doesnt have a reason not to.

7

u/idunnohonestly- Dec 08 '21

I believe that they beat thanos, but without Tony’s death, something worse would have happened. (this is just a theory, but there are things like Kang which could prove it)

5

u/LonelySwine Dec 08 '21

Exactly. He went with the safest choice.

-4

u/slothpeguin Dec 08 '21

Did he get to choose though? I dunno, I just think it’s worth considering that Strange didn’t look through every possible timeline. It was 14,000,605, why that exact number? Maybe that’s all he could do or all he could reach, I’m not sure.

I just know that Strange often had his own definition of the rules.

4

u/Thatonemoox Dec 09 '21

I’m not sure winning is the same as killing Thanos. My personal theory is that he saw well past Endgame, and realized that the universe needed the 5 year blip to achieve the best possible future. I even speculate that strange could have single handedly beat Thanos but had to throw the fight for the greater good.

2

u/slothpeguin Dec 09 '21

Yeah, that’s a really interesting theory, actually. Now I have to watch the movies again from that perspective, oh the inhumanity.

3

u/WillCraft_1001 https://www.youtube.com/watch/dQw4w9WgXcQ Dec 08 '21

The wizard that can cut off hands didn't cut off Thanos's hand when he was near him.

2

u/slothpeguin Dec 08 '21

Also not enough talk about where Captain Marvel was since I have no doubt she could have managed to hold her own against Thanos. Why didn’t they put her with Tony and the rest who were facing him down? (if the movie said, I forgot)

3

u/WillCraft_1001 https://www.youtube.com/watch/dQw4w9WgXcQ Dec 08 '21

I can't remember either, but marvel just had lazy writing. There are so many ways to win.

Drop Mjolnir on Thanos

Chop off his hand with any of the different lasers, axes, arrows, and explosives they had

Have the hulk rip off the arm

You literally have a Norse god let him kick ass

Have giant ant man step on him

3

u/slothpeguin Dec 08 '21

Have a very tiny ant man get inside of him and then grow into a giant.

u/WillCraft_1001 https://www.youtube.com/watch/dQw4w9WgXcQ Dec 08 '21

Shoot the angry grape with a arrow while he's not looking

u/Guiltykraken Dec 09 '21

Uses the space stone to teleport out from under Mjolnir, not so easy to take him down when he is durable to take punches from the Hulk. Ironman used lasers and a sword and was only able to draw blood. You have to be exceptionally stronger than another person to be able to rip off their arm and the Hulk in the MCU doesn’t seem as strong as his comic counterpart. Thor did get to kick his ass it’s just that by the time he got to Thanos he already amassed all the stones. Giant man stomp is not that powerful.

1

u/WillCraft_1001 https://www.youtube.com/watch/dQw4w9WgXcQ Dec 09 '21

good points, but the Mjolnir one still works when thanos didn't have the space stone when he went forward in time.

2

u/Guiltykraken Dec 09 '21

Because she didn’t know that Thanos was close to acquiring all the infinity stones. She may have known about Thanos and his half the population attacks but how would she know that he would be able to do it on a universal scale. The galaxy is not like the Earth where you can just look on the internet if you want to know if something major happens on the other side of the planet. The Gotg didn’t know about the attack on xandar until a few days after for example. Thanos managed to grab all the stones in maybe less than a week it’s not a lot of time for word to get out in a galactic scale.

1

u/slothpeguin Dec 09 '21

Thank you for the explanation! That bothered me, so I’m glad there’s an actual reason.

10

u/Calm_Class_4121 Dec 08 '21

chill the fuck out sis my starboy was horny.

4

u/slothpeguin Dec 08 '21

Five minutes.

6

u/Calm_Class_4121 Dec 08 '21

horny star-lord > 5 min........

2

u/BlooPancakes Dec 08 '21

It’s sucky he couldn’t calm down. The small consolation that isn’t really anything but it lines up with how his crew flies by the seat of their starship.

1

u/slothpeguin Dec 09 '21

That’s freaking true. They should have known better than to give Quill anything like responsibility.

0

u/DeadMansTale118 Dec 08 '21

I feel like they intentionally wrote his character as being a moron after it came out that Chris Pratt was a conservative Christian. You know Hollywood hates nothing more than conservatives and Christians so they intentionally denigrated his character in the last 2 movies, such as making a joke out of Gomorrah kicking him in the nuts when it could have been a good scene where he is reintroduced to the love of his life.

1

u/slothpeguin Dec 08 '21

Like, Chris Pratt and I are in a fight rn, but he’s a good actor and Starlord is a fun character. The whole point is he’s sneaky smart, and focused, but hides it under jokes. So for him to behave that way, I agree, waaaay out of character.

2

Eternals proved Thanos was right. Otherwise the Celestial would have emerged shortly after the snap (if the snap hadn't happened).
